Favorite part about your job: Working with an extremely diverse group of people. In one day, I easily work with anyone from drivers to executives.
Biggest misconception about HR? “If you see HR, run.” I often hear, “Well, I don’t see a pink sheet in your hand today; I’m safe.” Truth is, termination is such a small part of what HR professionals do. We do a lot of positive things daily. They are not seen as often due to the nature of the business.
What specific ways do you and your team create a positive work environment? By constantly ensuring that we are giving our employees the best customer service possible. They come to work to ensure they can take care of their families, and our team ensures they are paid on time and helps them work through any questions they have in a timely manner.
Biggest change in HR since you began your career? Compliance from an overall standpoint has changed dramatically.
